Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
Last updated: February 2026
1. Your Rights Under CCPA/CPRA
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) and the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), California residents have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of their personal information.
Under these laws, "sale" and "sharing" include making personal information available to third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration, or for cross-context behavioral advertising purposes.
2. How myceve Handles Your Data
myceve does not sell your personal information to third parties for monetary consideration. However, certain data sharing activities may be considered "sharing" under the broad CCPA/CPRA definition:
- Marketing cookies (TikTok): When you consent to marketing cookies, TikTok may receive event data (page views, conversions) through its pixel for advertising attribution purposes. This may constitute "sharing" under CCPA.
- Analytics (PostHog): We use PostHog with EU-hosted infrastructure for product analytics. Data is anonymized and not used for cross-context behavioral advertising.
2.1 Sensitive Personal Information
We do not collect or process sensitive personal information such as Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, financial account numbers, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, religious beliefs, genetic data, biometric data, or health information for profiling or advertising purposes.
3. How to Opt Out
You can opt out of any data sharing that may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under CCPA by taking the following actions:
3.1 Decline Marketing Cookies
When the cookie consent banner appears on your first visit, select only "Essential" cookies or decline marketing cookies. This prevents TikTok and other marketing trackers from being activated.
You can also change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking "Cookie Settings" in the website footer.
3.2 Global Privacy Control (GPC)
We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal as a valid opt-out request. You can enable GPC in your browser or use browser extensions that send the GPC signal. Tools that support GPC include:
- Privacy Badger (browser extension by EFF)
- DuckDuckGo (browser and extension)
- Brave Browser (built-in GPC support)
- Firefox (via GPC extension)
When we detect a GPC signal, we automatically treat it as an opt-out of the sale/sharing of personal information for that browser session.
3.3 Contact Us Directly
You can submit an opt-out request by emailing us at contact@myceve.app with the subject line "CCPA Opt-Out Request." Please include confirmation of your California residency.
4. Categories of Personal Information
The following categories of personal information may be collected and shared with third parties for the purposes described:
| Category | Examples | Shared with | Purpose |
|---|---|---|---|
| Online identifiers | Cookies, pixel data, marketing click IDs | TikTok | Advertising attribution and campaign optimization |
| Internet activity | Page views, clicks, time on site | PostHog (anonymized) | Product analytics and improvement |
| Device information | Browser type, device type, OS | PostHog (anonymized) | Product analytics and improvement |
| Geolocation data | General location from browser timezone | PostHog (anonymized) | Product analytics and improvement |
We do not share the following with third parties for advertising purposes: your name, email address, CV content, work history, or other sensitive personal information.
5. Minor Protections
Our Service is not directed at individuals under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly collect or sell the personal information of minors under 16. For consumers aged 13 to 15, we would require affirmative opt-in consent before any sale or sharing of personal information, as required by CCPA.
6. Authorized Agents
You may designate an authorized agent to submit a request on your behalf. Authorized agents must provide proof of written authorization from the consumer and verify their own identity. We may also require the consumer to confirm the request directly.
7. Re-Solicitation
After you opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information, we will wait at least 12 months before asking you to re-authorize the sale or sharing of your personal information.
8. Non-Discrimination
We will not discriminate against you for exercising your CCPA rights. You will receive the same quality of service and pricing regardless of your opt-out choices. Specifically, we will not:
- Deny you goods or services
- Charge you different prices or rates
- Provide a different level or quality of service
- Suggest that you will receive a different level of service
9. Additional California Rights
As a California resident, you also have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect, use, and disclose
- Delete your personal information (subject to certain exceptions)
- Correct inaccurate personal information
